About Medient Music

Over the past six years, medient has grown from being an India focused entertainment company to one with global footprint and music as a revenue generator has always been an area of keen interest and is now an integral part of medient’s growth plan.

In 2002 medient created India’s first and hugely successful boy band - A Band of Boys (ABOB). ABOB were nominated as MTV's Ubharta Sitara (Rising Stars) - an honour never before given to any artiste without an album or music video to their credit! The band’s debut album Yeh Bhi Woh Bhi was a phenomenal success. The hit single Meri Neend propelled the album to the top of the charts and album sold 1,00,000 units in the first two weeks of its launch.

By 2002 the band’s popularity had spread beyond India. ABOB performed a series of concerts in South East Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

In 2004 ABOB’s debut film, Kiss Kis Ko based on their lives & music was released by Eros International.

After five successful years medient relinquished the rights to the band and handed over the management to the band itself in 2004. With more than 1000 national and international gigs under their belt, ABOB continues to rock the audience worldwide.

The desire to repeat the success in the international music scene lead to the formation of S.i.S. In December 2008 medient launched an exhaustive eight month long search across the UK to form a four member Brit Asian girl band. Under training for the last one and a half years, S.i.S will make its debut this year.
